ABOUT DANCE WAVES COMPETITION

Dance Waves Competition is the largest dance competition in theaters Europe for dancers of all levels and all ages in the dance styles: hip hop, modern, contemporary, jazz and ballet. All our competitions are in beautiful theatres with professional lights, judges and photographers.
Our goal is to bring young, talented dancers together during the competitions, to get them in touch with each other and to learn from each other while getting stage experience. Dance Waves Competition encourages young talent and promotes them by offering chances to compete on big stages with professional light, judges and photographers. Winners get promoted via YouTube, Facebook, Instagram,.. and via other social media. It is the perfect way to put yourself in the spotlight!

Everyone is welcome to participate (dance schools, teams, duos, trios and solos), don't hesitate to subscribe!

MORE THAN JUST A COMPETITION

Dance Waves Competition is so much more than just a competition! It’s not only about winning. It’s about gaining stage experience, receiving feedback from the jury, meeting new dancers, making connections and building recognition, learning from each other, supporting one another, and above all, being happy for each other and celebrating each other’s achievements!

These are the values we stand for, and we believe they are extremely important. Therefore, only respectful and sportsmanlike behavior from dancers, choreographers, and parents is allowed at our competitions. This also applies to the audience: we expect everyone to share only positive comments about the dancers.

2026 - 2027

We have over 100 competitions on our program for 2026–2027!

You can participate in qualifying competitions in any country, and your points will count toward the National Championship in the country where you live or for the European Championships if there is no National Championship in your country.

Explanation (B), (J) and (T) behind the dates:

• For Belgium and the Netherlands: Ballet and Jazz & Showdance only take place on the dates marked with a (B) for Ballet or a (J) for Jazz & Showdance, because there are so many dates in those countries :) Modern & Contemporary and Streetdance will take place on all dates.

• For all other countries: All styles take place on all dates.

• Competitions marked with a (T) indicate that in those theaters there is space to allow more teams per category than at other venues. If you prefer a lot of opponents with your team, choose for these dates. There are fewer places for solos, duos and trios on these dates.

The start of registrations is different for each country:

• NL 10-09-2026 9h30: Start of registrations Netherlands for all accounts from the Netherlands

• NL 05-10-2026 9h30: Start of registrations Netherlands for accounts from other countries

• BE Mid September: Start of registrations Belgium for all teams (the exact moment will not be announced)

• BE Mid-End September: Start of registrations Belgium for solo's, duo's and trio's, with a maximum of 3 registrations per solo/duo/trio (the exact moment will not be announced)

• BE 02-10-2026 9h30: Registrations Belgium solo's, duo's and trio's can register more than 3 times

• DE 21-09-2026 9h30: Start of registrations Germany

• FR 24-09-2026 9h30: Start of registrations France

• PT 28-09-2026 9h30: Start of registrations Portugal

• ZA: All registrations are open for South Africa

• Other countries: You can send in your video by mail to get selected for the EU Championships by mail
