The Belgian Ballet, Jazz & Showdance Championships for the 2026–2027 season will take place at GC De Wiek (Dendermondebaan 8) in Zele on Saturday, May 15, 2027.
Participate
You can only participate in the Belgian Championship if you are selected through participation in the qualifying competitions. The more qualifying competitions you enter, the greater your chance of being selected for the championship. The points from your best three qualifying competitions will count towards the selection.
Tickets
Tickets can be purchased in advance via this link (or cash on the day of the competition at the ticket office). After online purchase, the ticket is in your account, you can have it scanned at the box office on the competition itself and then you will receive your entry band. Be sure to purchase your ticket for the correct day, tickets are not refundable or exchangeable.
Food & Drinks
We do not run the cafeteria at this location ourselves, but you can go to Cultuurcafe Zele for food and drinks from 9:00 AM onwards.
Please note, eating or drinking inside the theater hall is never allowed.
Measurements: 10m wide and 12m long.
Floor: The stage floor exists of black painted parquet covered with black ballet floor.
There are a couple of seats available for wheelchairs. Please contact us prior to the competition.
De Wiek is easily accessible by public transportation. Zele's train station is just an 8-minute walk away. If you come by car, you can park for at the parking of Arjaan Theater.

Parking is available near the Wiek at the following parking lots:
Parking Zandberg (free of charge)
Zele Station Parking (free, very large parking lot)
Parking Markt (paying between 9 am and 6 pm, except on Sundays and holidays)
Four weeks prior to the competition, there will be a temporary time schedule available on the website. This temporary time schedule can still change as the inscriptions are still open. The final time schedule will be available one week prior to the competition on the website. The timetable mentions the times the dancers need to be ready to go on stage. You can find on your subscription confirmation in which age division and style you participate.
For solos, duos & trios there is a dressing room available half an hour up front, for groups an hour up front. If you arrive earlier, please wait until the dressing room is free and also leave the dressing room in time for the next dancers.
There are multiple award ceremonies during the day so that the dancers can go home if they are not able to stay the whole day.
